Last summer the committee decided to apply for a North Chingford Community Funding to replace the platform and paths around Ridgeway Station. The club won its bid and was awarded £5685 toward the work. On 29 Sep 08, contactors arrived on site to remove and take away the old concrete platform which took two full days. It has been down to the members to start laying the new platform and paths. A new exit path has been made and Dave Whiting has done an outstanding job of brick work with arches supporting the new path. A team of about 8 to 10 members have worked every Sunday on the task regardless of the weather . . .

A new 5” coach shed by Ridgeway Station has been built and completed over the last year and will be used for the first time in April 09 . Norman Phelps , who was the project leader and designed the building and track work. The building was built by Dave Whiting and the heavy crew. Norman Phelps and Bryan Alderslade team completed all the metal work (track doors etc) . . .
