| There is an ongoing project to upgrade the ground level signal box, which includes installing a fully working lever controlled signalling system and renovation of the structure. |

| Due to the non-standard size, club member
Jonathan (seen above) made the window from scratch, which was brought to the park in pieces and assembled in the station. |
| On Sunday 3rd October 2004 a work party removed
the old window and the new window installed. |

| The new window in place, because Jonathan made
the window such a good fit very little work will be needed to seal the frame to the brickwork. The windows were not glazed immediately as the signal lever frame (a very heavy unit) is going to be installed by passing it through the frame. |
